This is a non-normed reasoning test, not a determination of giftedness. Giftedness is broader than performance on cognitive puzzles.

Results and meaning

What does this giftedness test measure?

What the result can show

How you performed on a compact set with few easy entry items and where your relative strengths lie across its four areas.

What the result cannot prove

That you are gifted or have a particular IQ. That requires current norms, standardised administration and professional interpretation.

The four areas

Abstract patterns

Tracking several rules at once in matrices, codes and sequences.

Deductive reasoning

Separating necessary conclusions from claims that are merely possible or plausible.

Spatial transformation

Mentally following rotations, views, folds and three-dimensional relations.

Conceptual relations

Recognising precise relationships between concepts, models and arguments.

A test score is only part of the picture

  • Giftedness may also appear in a need for complexity, intense learning, sensitivity or uneven development.
  • Stress, sleep, language experience and familiarity with puzzles affect performance.
  • One total can hide substantial differences between verbal, spatial and deductive reasoning.

Frequently asked questions about the giftedness test

Is this an official giftedness assessment?

No. It is not normed by age or education and is intended as a difficult follow-up to a broad online IQ test.

What score means gifted?

This site does not use a diagnostic cut-off. Professional intelligence tests often consider scores around 130, together with confidence intervals and the full profile.

How does the indicative score work?

Harder items carry more weight. The bounded conversion runs from 80 to 155; answering around chance level comes out near 95. It is a model for this set, not a population norm.

Does speed count?

No. The timer limits the session, but careful thinking is not penalised. Scoring uses accuracy and the predetermined difficulty of each item.

Can I take this result to a psychologist?

It may help you explain your question, but it is not evidence. A psychologist can choose a normed assessment and interpret differences across the profile.
