What a filled-in sensory plan can look like

You don't need a complete life story. A situation and a workable agreement are enough to start.

Situation
A meeting in a busy office.
What I notice
I stop following the conversation when several people speak at once.
What helps
One person speaking at a time. Decisions written down afterwards.
My agreement
If I need to leave, I send a message. We agree beforehand who will update me.
Use your own plan and save a PDF

This is an example, not advice about what you should need. Your work version can contain only the agreements you want to share. Keep more personal notes in the private version.

Choose Work or Private in the tool above, then fill in what is useful to you. PDF / print opens your browser's print window for the selected version; choose Save as PDF if available. This example is not inserted into your plan.

Questions about this tool

What is a sensory plan?

A short record of a situation that overwhelms you and what helps. You can use it yourself or share the relevant agreements with someone who supports you.

Can I share it at work?

Yes. Use the work version for the agreements you want to share. You do not have to include a diagnosis or personal details that are not relevant to that conversation.

How do I download the plan?

Choose the version you want to share, then use PDF / print. This opens your browser's print window. Choose Save as PDF if your browser offers it, and check the preview before sharing.
